Independent Research Organisation Consortium (IROC)
ActiveDescription
The Independent Research Organisation Consortium (IROC) is a network of United Kingdom museums, galleries, libraries and heritage organisations recognised by the Arts and Humanities Research Council as Independent Research Organisations. Its members lead and support research across the cultural and academic sectors, spanning fields from archaeological excavation and the study of artefacts to scientific research on historic and modern materials. IROC provides a forum for these organisations to share research resources and expertise, to collaborate with universities and international partners, and to represent the independent research sector. It is coordinated through a Directors and Heads of Research Group and a Research Managers Group drawn from its member institutions.
