Historic Royal Palaces Institute

Description

Historic Royal Palaces is made up by a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. It creates space for spirits to stir and be stirred. It wants everyone to feel welcome and accepted. Historic Royal Palaces tell stories about the monarchs you know, and the lives you don’t. It lets people explore and it sets minds racing.

In March 2019, Historic Royal Palaces launced the Historic Royal Palaces Research Institute to provide a community network for staff undertaking research across the organisation and provide a platform for its academic projects, programmes and partnerships. The institute is an Idependent Research Organisation (IRO) and its aim is to present the history of the palaces in a transparent, balanced and inclusive way, always informed by rigorous research.
