Description
The Centre for Creative Economies (CCE) at Coventry University was formed in 2023 to investigate the formation and practice of creative economies and their outcomes for people, place and planet. Its investigations into and across creative economies and cultural activity combined social science, humanities and arts approaches as a basis for understanding the complexity of contemporary life and its global challenges and issues. Its research ran across five themes: Investigating Creative Economies; Space, Place and the Creative Economy; Creative Economies for Health and Wellbeing; Digital Heritage and Culture; and Creative Economies and Ecological Sustainability. Its project funders included Arts Council England, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre and the Economic and Social Research Council.
