Centre for People's Justice

Active

Description

The Centre for People's Justice is led by the University of Liverpool and brings together researchers from seven UK universities. It brings law and social justice research closer to people's hopes, interests and needs, because research needs to inspire and inform meaningful improvements to law and to people's lives. Its funding application sets out an approach that integrates law, arts and humanities to incubate a new social justice methodology, and describes the Centre as trauma-informed. The Centre works in four research areas: Work, Care and Welfare; Children and Childhood; Corporations & Communities; and Violence & Conflict. It is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council from April 2025 to April 2030.
