London Nineteenth-Century Studies Seminar

Active

Description

The London Nineteenth-Century Studies Seminar reports that for more than twenty years it has brought together national and international scholars of the nineteenth century through its regular seminars, symposia and a postgraduate conference. Its regular seminars are attended by postgraduates, by university lecturers both within and outside the University of London, and sometimes by interested members of the public. Its speakers are mainly from the field of nineteenth-century literary studies, but the seminars are frequently interdisciplinary in nature and have recently been informed by cultural studies, media history and art history. The seminar meets at Senate House and is listed among the seminars of the Institute of English Studies; its convenors are based at the University of Roehampton and at Royal Holloway, University of London.
