King's Race Research Network (KRRN)

The King's Race Research Network (KRRN) is an interdisciplinary network of scholars of race at King's College London, which reports around 100 members across all of the university's departments and faculties. Its research covers race and racism broadly, including colour racism, Islamophobia and antisemitism, from large-scale structures to individual attitudes, and its members have examined racial inequality in healthcare, in the history curriculum and at King's itself, in historical contexts from sixteenth-century Spain to twenty-first-century Britain.
The network is one of the four research centres of the Global Cultures Institute. It was launched with an inaugural symposium on the theme of denial in June 2023, and in June 2026 it organised a book launch with the Department of Culture, Media and Creative Industries.
