London Beckett Seminar

Description

The London Beckett Seminar is a seminar series on the prose, theatre and poetry of Samuel Beckett that brings together scholars, researchers, postgraduate students and members of the public from the UK and abroad. It approaches Beckett's work through literary, philosophical and historical analysis, with particular interest in translation studies, performance and practice, digital humanities and visual cultures, and reports that it has built an interdisciplinary research network for postgraduate, early-career and established researchers. Founded at Birkbeck in 1998, it has been co-convened since 2015 by academics at Goldsmiths, University of London and Trinity College Dublin, and in recent years it has received support from the Department of English and Creative Writing at Goldsmiths and the Institute of English Studies at the School of Advanced Study. It now runs online as a carbon-neutral and cost-neutral series of eight free sessions a year.
