Pattern Club

Active

Description

Pattern Club is a community network exploring patterns across heritage craft and contemporary technology, founded in 2023 with chapters in Sheffield and London. It brings together artists, makers, musicians and coders who see continuity between heritage patterns such as weaving and braiding and new patterns in live coding and algorithmic art, running regular meetups, workshops, residencies and the annual Alpaca Festival and Conference. It welcomes beginners and newcomers to algorithmic creative practice, and some of its activities are supported by the Algorithmic Pattern research fellowship hosted at Then Try This.
