William Temple Foundation

Active

Description

The William Temple Foundation is an independent research hub and public-theology think tank, named after Archbishop William Temple and based in Rochdale, that researches and convenes debate on the place of religion and belief in public life. Its work spans religion and civil society, belief, values and wellbeing, urban change, and public policy, and it resources action through teaching, publications and thematic networks. It supports early-career researchers through the William Temple Scholars doctoral programme, run with the Faiths and Civil Society Unit at Goldsmiths, University of London, and through a postdoctoral fellowship award. The Foundation is a registered charity that has sustained a nationwide network of academic, church and civil-society partners while remaining independent of any single host institution.
