Digital Humanities Climate Coalition (DHCC)
ActiveDescription
The Digital Humanities Climate Coalition is a cross-institutional coalition working to understand and reduce the environmental impact of digital humanities research, and to help researchers, institutions and funders make research practices more environmentally responsible. Formed in 2021 and constituted as a Community Interest Group of the UK-Ireland Digital Humanities Association, it is led by coordinators across UK universities and runs monthly meetings, workshops and a growing set of outputs, including its flagship toolkit for environmentally responsible digital practice and a project self-assessment tool. Its meetings and day to day coordination are hosted by the Edinburgh Centre for Data, Culture and Society at the University of Edinburgh.
