Description
The Land Justice Network is a non-hierarchical network of groups and individuals, including academics, farmers, housing activists, architects, ramblers, coders, musicians, planners, artists, land workers and bird watchers. The network holds that present land use and ownership result from policies and decisions with little basis in social justice or the common good. It works to raise awareness of land as a common issue underpinning many struggles and injustices, and to convert that awareness into action that challenges and changes the status quo. The network draws on a wide toolset: policy writing, direct action, land occupation, workshops and events, skill-sharing, and the production of videos, pamphlets, films, infographics, flyers, songs, art and zines. The site now describes the network as "gently dormant," with landjustice.uk functioning mainly as a signposting directory to other active land justice groups and as host of the Land Letter newsletter archive.
