The Law Society (Law Society of England and Wales)
ActiveDescription
The Law Society is the professional body for solicitors in England and Wales. It represents solicitors and advocates for access to justice and the rule of law, supporting them through trusted resources, training, networks and events. The Society works to influence government and other key decision-makers to protect access to justice and the rule of law, and champions the value solicitors bring to their communities nationally and internationally. Founded in 1825 and granted a Royal Charter in 1845, it is led by its Council, office holders and committees and is run by solicitors, for solicitors. It has more than 200,000 members across England and Wales, with a head office on Chancery Lane in London and an office in Cardiff for Welsh matters.
