Activist Court Aid Brigade (ACAB)
ActiveDescription
The Activist Court Aid Brigade (ACAB) is part of the UK activist legal support network. The brigade provides support for activists who have been arrested and/or are facing prosecution, a role previously held by the now-defunct Legal Defence Monitoring Group. It can be reached by email or via the 24/7 legal-support hotline previously operated by the Green and Black Cross, and it signposts enquirers to legal-observer callouts (Independent Legal Observer Network), legal-observer and rights training (GBC Trainings Collective), and squatting advice (Advisory Service for Squatters).
