Transform Justice

Active

Description

Transform Justice is a national charity working for a fairer, more open, and more compassionate justice system in England and Wales. The charity uses research and evidence to show how the criminal justice system works and what needs to change, then seeks to persuade politicians and policy makers to act on those findings. It argues that prison and prosecution should be used only as a last resort, advocates for open justice and fair treatment of defendants, and works to reframe public and political narratives about crime. Its work spans resolving crime out of court, criminal records reform, hate crime, pre-trial imprisonment, digital justice, and court observation, communicated through reports, a podcast, and regular insight articles.
