Geese Theatre Company

Description

Geese Theatre Company is an applied-theatre charity that uses theatre and drama to enable people in criminal justice and social welfare settings to make positive changes. Established in 1987, the company devises and delivers interactive performances, groupwork projects, creative projects, films and staff training programmes across the UK and internationally. It works with people in prison, on probation and in mental health settings, with people who have lived experience of homelessness, substance misuse and mental ill-health, with young people at risk of offending, and with the professionals who work with these groups. Its practice centres on the use of mask and drama-based, experiential methods to explore behaviour, build skills and support wellbeing, rehabilitation and recovery. The company is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation.
