Race and Resistance Programme
Description
The Race and Resistance programme was launched in January 2013. It aims to unite researchers, students, and activists in the fields of history, literature, and culture, focusing on anti-racist movements worldwide.
The programme actively opposes racism, hierarchy, and associated inequalities. Its goal is to encourage informed dialogues about race, racism, resistance, and liberation both within and outside of Oxford. Meetings are held on most Fridays during term time and feature various formats, including facilitated discussions, lectures by guest speakers, short research presentations, seminars analysing texts from diverse disciplines, book launches, and film screenings. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate!
