Nuffield Political Theory Group
Description
Nuffield College serves as a leading institution for political theory in Oxford, renowned for its vibrant academic environment on an international scale.
Since 1983, the Nuffield Workshop in Political Theory has fostered rigorous discussions on cutting-edge research within the discipline, with a focus on the analytical tradition.
Alongside the weekly workshop, the Political Theory Group at Nuffield organises various conferences and seminars throughout the year in collaboration with the Department of Political Science and International Relations (DPIR) and the Oxford Political Theory Network (OPTN). These include the Interdisciplinary Seminars on Empire (ISE), the annual Oxford Graduate Conference in Political Theory, and two biweekly works-in-progress seminars: the Oxford Works in Progress Political Theory Seminar (OWIPT) for doctoral students and the Centre for the Study of Social Justice (CSSJ) for faculty and postdoctoral fellows.
