Centre for the History of Retailing and Distribution
Description
Established in September 1998, the Centre for the History of Retailing and Distribution (CHORD) at the University of Wolverhampton fosters the study of retail and distribution history. It serves as an interface for scholars globally, irrespective of their interest period, discipline, or methodology. Leveraging the expertise of several Wolverhampton scholars, CHORD coordinates projects and acts as a global nexus for research on retailing, distribution, and consumption history. CHORD's events remain the primary international forum for scholarly discourse in this field, augmented by regular online workshops, introductory events, and a retail history blog.
