Legal Innovation Lab Wales

Description

Based at Swansea University’s Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law, Legal Innovation Lab Wales is a multi-million-pound initiative working in the LegalTech field. The Lab builds upon Swansea University’s position as an internationally leading institution working in counterterrorism, defence and security, and provides a vibrant and transformative environment for LegalTech research and development (R&D), leading the way in Wales for LegalTech evolution.

Legal Innovation Lab Wales has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Welsh Government and Swansea University.

The Lab's newly refurbished facilities bring together cutting-edge research and technology to help foster a LegalTech community. Spaces include an Artificial Intelligence in Law laboratory, a Cyber Threats research suite, and a LegalTech Research and Development centre, bringing academic knowledge and research capacity to legal practice.

The Lab works in collaboration with organisations across the legal, public and third sector to support the growth and sustainability of a vibrant LegalTech economy with an aim to improve access to justice whilst also transforming the delivery of legal services throughout Wales and beyond, helping to grow an open, inclusive and collaborative LegalTech community.
