Centre for Research in Creative and Performing Arts (CRCPA)

Description

Located within the School of Media, Arts and Humanities, the Sussex Centre for Research in Creative and Performing Arts (CRCPA) works to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and research in the creative and performing arts. Working closely with the Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts and in partnership with other research centres at Sussex, the CRCPA aims to be an enabling space for creative and practice-based research, showcasing and creating new opportunities for collaboration across the arts as realised through drama, music, performance, film, visual and sound arts. One of the centre’s distinct concerns is on interdisciplinarity as a subject for enquiry in its own right; and members are committed to looking at how creative arts practices can be used to unlock the potential of other fields of research.
