Priestley Centre for Climate Futures
Description
The Priestley Centre for Climate Futures is a world-leading climate centre based at the University of Leeds. From local to global, the centre ensures that climate action is informed by the latest research, collaborating with organisations and individuals to transform expertise into real-world impact. The scope and scale of climate change are vast and complex, and no single area of expertise or small group of people can tackle it alone. The Priestley Centre brings together a community of experts from across disciplines including engineering, finance, health, economics, cultural studies, law, and atmospheric sciences.
Effective policy and other social and technical solutions need to be underpinned by robust research and the Priestley Centre’s focus is on new interdisciplinary research partnerships that better link physical, technological, economic and social understandings of climate change with strategies for mitigation and adaptation.
