The Centre for Philosophy of Natural and Social Science (CPNSS), established in 1990, aims to promote research into philosophical, methodological and foundational questions arising in the natural and the social sciences, as well as their application to practical problems.

The Centre seeks to achieve this aim by supporting interdisciplinary and inter-institutional endeavours of different kinds and maintaining international collaborations and partnerships.

The Centre lists the Oxford-Cambridge-London Philosophy of Medicine Society among its regular research groups. The society is a talks series that connects researchers in philosophy of medicine based in Oxford, Cambridge and London, with organisers at each institution. It held talks in Cambridge (February 2026), London (March 2026, reported by LSE as hosted by the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method and the Centre) and Oxford (May 2026).
