Lancaster University Phonetics Lab

Description

Lancaster University Phonetics Lab is based in the Department of Linguistics and English Language at Lancaster University.

The Lab specialises in speech acoustics and articulation, forensic speech science, speech technology, sociophonetics, bilingualism, and minority languages. The Lab’s research group meets regularly and its facilities are used by staff, undergraduates and postgraduates working on phonetics projects.

The Lab is also affiliated with Soundscape Voice Evidence, which is a private forensic speech science consultancy based in the department.
