Regional Heritage Centre

Description

The Regional Heritage Centre promotes and celebrates the rich social and cultural heritage of North West England by engaging with the regional community.

It encompasses the Centre for North-West Regional Studies, which was founded in 1973, and the Victoria County History for Cumbria.

Its aim is to foster engagement between Lancaster University and the regional community in the field of cultural heritage. The Centre has an Advisory Board comprised of representatives of heritage bodies around the North West, as well as a Steering Group which takes its membership from the History Department and elsewhere in the University.
