Creative Contestations and Social Justice research group
ActiveDescription
The Creative Contestations and Social Justice research group is a research group in the Department of International Development at King's College London. As one of the largest research groups in the department, its members address an extensive range of research specialities, spanning gender, citizenship, labour, food systems, infrastructure and urbanisation, through a collective identity and shared intellectual project. The group's research examines how injustices come about and are perpetuated, contested and transformed in a diversity of sites from local grassroots activism to global policy processes. Members have a strong commitment to creative and interdisciplinary approaches, firmly grounded in qualitative, embodied, arts-based and participatory methods.
