Description

The Centre for Global Studies is the home for international relations research in the School of Social, Political and Global Studies.

All members work on aspects of global politics, particularly global security, international development, and war, culture and society. The Centre has a strong research emphasis on critical security studies, international development, environmental politics, state building, and emotions in international relations. War, the central problem of international relations, is also a focus, with research that examines relations between militaries and society, nationalisms, emotions and war, and legacies of conflicts.
