The unit explores how concepts and ideas shape numerous fields – from intellectual history to current politics, from European and extra-European philosophical traditions, and from political critique to public policy.

The unit's researchers explore a variety of theory-related themes such as anarchism and post-anarchism, political theology, phenomenology and the continental tradition, psychoanalysis, aesthetics, rhetoric, and intellectuals and ideologies in public life.
