Legal Practice Hub

Description

The Legal Practice Hub supports the provision of opportunities for academics and students, including PhD students, across the School to work together to support engagement with practitioners and the judiciary, academics from other institutions, and with policymakers, on matters of importance to legal practice, to share expertise and to provide opportunities for interdisciplinary work at a time of rapid development in law and legal practice.

The Hub promotes the incorporation of high-quality research and scholarship into professional practice and education. This is done through support for profession-focused research and scholarship, as well as seminars, lectures and other activities in which practitioners and academics exchange insights on legal professional practice. There are four broad areas of activity:

• Criminal Practice [including criminal litigation, criminal evidence & proof, sentencing, criminal advocacy, criminal judicial practice, ethics in criminal cases] 
• Civil Practice [inclduing civil litigation, alternative dispute resolution, civil advocacy, civil judicial practice, ethics in civil cases]
• Legal Education
• Legal Technology
