Audience studies Network at Lancaster University (ANLU)
Description
The Audience studies Network at Lancaster University (ANLU) is an interdisciplinary group of scholars with shared interests in researching media consumption and engagement from a wide range of theoretical and methodological perspectives. Its main goal is fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, with tailored events where members can share work-in-progress and get feedback on project ideas. It gathers scholars from different departments, such as the Lancaster Institute for Contemporary Arts (LICA) and Sociology, and is open to all. In 2023 and 2024 it ran an Audience Studies Joint Seminar series in collaboration with The Audience Project at Oxford Brookes University, and on 29 April 2024 it organised a one-day symposium at Lancaster on researching media audiences.
