The F-List Gender in Music Research Hub
ActiveDescription
The F-List Gender in Music Research Hub is a collective of feminist and interdisciplinary researchers. It describes itself as dedicated to evidence-led activism that aims to help women and gender diverse people in the music industries start and sustain their music careers for longer. It reports a network of over 80 feminist researchers. It hosts monthly online Research Hours and organises an annual conference, held each May since 2022 and hosted by a different institution in most years, and it has responded to government inquiries. It is organised by a Steering Group of eight researchers, a sub-committee of the board of The F-List for Music, a community interest company. The Hub is the route by which that company pursues its aim of increasing knowledge through research into gender inequality in music. Follow The F-List on Bluesky and LinkedIn.
