Law and AI, York

Active

Description

As artificial intelligence reshapes society, this group at York Law School examines how legal frameworks respond across contract, intellectual property, data protection and tort law. It explores AI’s impact on both legal practice and legal education, investigating how the law should evolve and how AI is transforming the way law is taught and learned. Its research also examines the impact of smart technologies and algorithmic decision-making on governance and legal responsibility, drawing on doctrinal, theoretical and interdisciplinary approaches.
