It combines critical research with training to address all aspects of the energy trilemma, namely energy security, affordability and environmental sustainability. Its key themes include critical technical evaluation; regulation and economics; spatial planning and engineering of energy systems; and sustainable and just transition. Its official launch took place in 2021, and it has run seminars, lectures and workshops.
