ActiveDescription
The Centre for the Art of Living and Dying Well at St Mary’s University, Twickenham aims to help people to live and die well and be supported in their grief. Its interdisciplinary work covers health communication; ethics, death literacy and end-of-life care, sustainability, leadership, and digital culture, through two groups: Society, Culture and Living Well, and Health Communication, Leadership and Ethics. The centre maintains the Art of Dying Well website, which hosts the Art of Dying Well podcast; the website was originally created by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales. Its End of Life Companionship Project, a collaboration with the St Vincent de Paul Society, reports that over three hundred and thirty SVP members have undertaken training as end-of-life companions since April 2021.
