London Record Society

Description

The London Record Society was founded in December 1964 to publish transcripts, abstracts and lists of the primary sources for the history of London. It is a registered charity whose object is to advance education by stimulating public interest in archives and similar historical material relating to London. It aims to publish a volume a year in hard covers with a historical introduction, and holds an annual public lecture dealing with an aspect of London archives.

Membership is open to individuals and institutions, and members receive the annual volume. Volumes 1 to 45 of the Society's series are available online through British History Online.
