QM Centre for Creative Collaboration

Description

The QM Centre for Creative Collaboration at Queen Mary University of London sustains long term partnerships and collaborations across east London and the globe, enabling an exchange of knowledge and ideas between people who create arts and culture, people running cultural organisations and people working on research projects across science, medicine and the humanities. It brings together artists, academics and cultural organisations, and reports that it delivers university strategic priorities and supports the Civic University Agreement priority A Cultural Hub for East London.

The Centre was formerly known as Arts & Culture, a strategic initiative launched in 2017 to support a wide range of projects and collaborations. It co-led CREAATIF, a study of generative AI and the creative workforce funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council from February 2024 to January 2025, and its listed projects include AI and the Creative Workforce; Culture, Connectedness, Evaluation; Young People Reshaping Research; and Arts, Culture and Health. It runs the Queen Mary Cultural Advocacy Fellowship, which appoints honorary research fellows for a three-year period in collaboration with the Mile End Institute, and the Assistant Producers Scheme for students, which began in 2021.
