Description

The Culture, Medicine & Power research group (CMP) at King's College London describes its work as the interdisciplinary study of social, cultural, political and historical dimensions of health and illness. From capacity building to collaborative research, the group seeks to promote awareness, engagement and critical thinking to reframe public debates and inform policy-making. It organises CMP Conversations, a series of meetings with scholars to discuss current research, open to staff and students of the Department of Global Health & Social Medicine and to the wider research community. The series has run since December 2020, with invited speakers from history, sociology, anthropology and cultural or literary studies.
