Experimental Media Research Centre (EMERGE)

Description

The Centre has grown significantly since 2010, and its experience draws on Research Excellence Framework outputs at national and international level, based on a rich portfolio of research outputs that place a premium on engaging with the public, developing social initiatives and pushing boundaries in critical and cultural fields of media production. By developing interdisciplinary research projects, EMERGE brings new forms of expertise in communications and cultural practices in areas including media and digital arts, contemporary and critical art practice, spatial interaction, documentary video and networked audio.
