Eurasian Crossroads Network (ECN)

The Eurasian Crossroads Network (ECN), established in May 2025 at the UCL Institute of Archaeology, aims at fostering collaboration among researchers and students with an interest in the archaeology, history and cultures of Eurasia, particularly its central and inner transcontinental spaces. It spins out of the DREAM project, which focuses on Central Eurasian prehistory and archaeometallurgy, and relates to the Institute's thematic research on Human Planetary Transformations and Material Worlds. The network is open to all researchers and students interested in the region, regardless of their specific research focus, and its planned activities include guest lectures and talks, workshops and seminars, reading groups and research discussions, and resource sharing and research support. It held its first workshop, Future Crossroads, in June 2025.
