The Archaeology-Heritage-Art (AHA) Research Network brings together artists, archaeologists and heritage practitioners to examine how material culture shapes the contemporary world. While the network remains open to diverse topics and research strands, its key themes reflect the strengths of cross-disciplinary research across the UCL Institute of Archaeology, in particular its Heritage Studies Section, and the Slade School of Fine Art. It held its inaugural event at the Institute of Archaeology on 23 May 2014 and relaunched in 2022 with a new programme of activities. Its 2025/26 programme, supported by Arts Council England, included AHA x West Dean, a collaborative series of events with West Dean College that ran from May to June 2026.
