The Courtauld x Asymmetry Chinese and Sinophone Contemporary Art Research Programme is a collaboration between The Courtauld and the Asymmetry Art Foundation, announced in 2022, to further and diversify knowledge of Chinese and Sinophone contemporary art. It consists of two postdoctoral fellowships, a public lecture series and an annual international symposium. The Asymmetry Lecture Series is an annual programme of artist talks, conversations and screenings that gives artists, curators and scholars of East and Southeast Asian heritage a platform to share their research and practice with wider audiences. The Asymmetry Postdoctoral Fellowship is a two-year, fully funded placement for early career academics with a strong research portfolio in Chinese or Sinophone contemporary art.
