The Robert H.N. Ho Family Foundation Centre for Buddhist Art and Conservation at The Courtauld was established in 2012 with an endowment from the Robert H.N. Ho Family Foundation. It is dedicated to interdisciplinary, cross-cultural research on Buddhist art and to the preservation of Buddhist cultural heritage. The centre teaches the art history and conservation of Buddhist heritage, brings together researchers across disciplines and countries, and holds conferences, workshops and public lectures. It oversees a master's programme combining Buddhist art history, its conservation and the study of Buddhism, first run in 2013 and relaunched in 2022, and its academic staff publish research on Buddhist art and conservation.
