Birkbeck Philosophy Research Centre

Description

The Birkbeck Philosophy Research Centre is a community of philosophers and postgraduate students at Birkbeck, University of London, devoted to philosophical and interdisciplinary research and to cooperation with philosophers at other University of London colleges. Its membership takes in Birkbeck's philosophy staff and emeriti, visiting professors, honorary research fellows and other philosophers associated with the centre. Every two weeks the centre meets to discuss new work by its members, and it invites speakers from other colleges and other disciplines, with sessions open to its postgraduate researchers. Members of staff also take turns to lead a themed seminar on a topic from their own research, and the centre's events have included the Edgington Lectures, a lecture series that began in 2012.
