The Stove Network

Description

The Stove Network is an artist-led organisation in Dumfries that works on culture-led regeneration and creative placemaking in the town and across Dumfries and Galloway. Formed by artists in 2011 and running a building on the High Street since 2015, it delivers a programme of commissions, residencies, festivals and community projects, and receives multi-year funding from Creative Scotland. Alongside its programme it publishes its own research on creative placemaking and has reported an academic partnership to evidence the impact of that work, with staff presenting on the approach at national and international events. Its work has also been the subject of external evaluations, and it has co-published a methodology paper with South of Scotland Enterprise.
