East Ayrshire Leisure Trust (Ayrshire360)

Description

East Ayrshire Leisure Trust, which trades as Ayrshire360, is a Scottish charitable incorporated organisation that runs museums, galleries, libraries, arts venues and leisure facilities across East Ayrshire, having taken those services on from East Ayrshire Council in July 2013. It is based in Kilmarnock and operates from more than thirty venues. It maintains a collections care team responsible for preserving, documenting and researching the objects it holds, and offers access to its stored collections by appointment. Two of the collections in its care carry Recognised Collection of National Significance status from Museums Galleries Scotland: the musical instrument collection, and a share of the National Burns Collection held jointly with other Scottish institutions. The council owns these collections and the trust cares for them under licence.
