Description

The Selkirkshire Antiquarian Society is a voluntary society formed in 1947 to preserve the antiquities of the Selkirk district and to bring together people interested in the county's historical, literary and archaeological heritage. It runs a season of evening talks from autumn to spring, held in Selkirk, covering subjects such as Roman Scotland, Borders literary figures, local film collections and the history of the district. The society is run by an honorary committee.
