FACT, Liverpool

Active

Description

FACT is a world-leading centre for art, film and the creative use of technology, based in Liverpool and founded in 1989. It grew from Merseyside Moviola, which launched Video Positive, the UK's international festival of video art, and opened its purpose-built centre on Wood Street in 2003, the first new arts building in Liverpool in over sixty years. A registered charity, it runs free contemporary art exhibitions and installations, an independent cinema, learning and community programmes, and a Studio and Lab programme of research residencies and talent development supporting artists working with emerging technologies. It works with universities, galleries and technology partners across the United Kingdom and internationally.
