Feminist Internet
ActiveDescription
Feminist Internet is a collective of designers, academics and activists, founded in 2017, that works to disrupt inequalities in internet products and services by bringing together technology, intersectional feminism and creative practice. It began as a studio project at the University of the Arts London and grew into an ongoing collective producing feminist chatbots, films, workshops and publications, including tools that teach people about bias in artificial intelligence and that reimagine voice assistants and online safety. Its work addresses gender and racial bias in technology, queer and trans inclusion, online abuse and the politics of the body online, and is aimed at the public, marginalised communities and organisations seeking to build more equitable digital tools.
