Trans Safety Network
ActiveDescription
Trans Safety Network is a UK research collective that explores and analyses institutional and organised harm against trans, non-binary and gender diverse people. Formed in 2020, it brings together the skills of data scientists, community activists, journalists and analysts, working collectively rather than under named leadership. It produces investigative reports and data analyses covering healthcare policy, media narratives and legislation, using methods such as freedom of information requests and analysis of survey data, and shares its findings with policymakers and journalists. It also maintains a curated research bibliography on the international anti-gender movement and publishes practical guidance for people engaging with the media. The collective is a community interest company funded through public donations.
