Yorkshire Sound Women Network (YSWN)

Yorkshire Sound Women Network (YSWN) is a community interest company, founded in 2015 and based in Huddersfield, that supports women, girls and gender-diverse people to develop skills and careers in sound and music technology. It runs workshops, commissions, traineeships, composer residencies and regional groups across Yorkshire, and works to improve gender equity and inclusion across the sound and music industry. Its programmes span electronic music production, composition, DJing, audio engineering and sound art, and it maintains academic connections with universities including the University of Huddersfield. YSWN is supported by Arts Council England, the PRS Foundation and Youth Music.
