Museums Computer Group (MCG)
ActiveDescription
The Museums Computer Group is a volunteer-run, non-profit subject association for people working with technology and digital platforms in the museum and heritage sector across the United Kingdom. Formed in 1982 following a meeting at the Sedgwick Museum in Cambridge, it is governed by an elected committee under a written constitution, with individual and corporate membership tiers and an annual general meeting. It encourages, improves and influences best practice in museum technology through its annual Museums and Technology conference, a discussion list of more than 1,600 members, and knowledge-sharing events and publications.
